While you are not likely to get a virus, whenever you download a dataset for GCB you run the risk of corrupting your core program files. We at GPM and FGS advise that you back up your program files before any modification, or at the very least having the GCB disc handy for a quick re-install. We suggest removing or moving the program files to another location so that your installation will start fresh. Having a saved copy of the most recent update files doesn't hurt.
